Ook hier in Florida moet ik altijd iets om handen hebben. Ik heb een pakketje gekocht met 3 spuit- flesjes verfpoeder in rood, geel en blauw . In het pakketje zaten ook 36 flosjes wit splijtgaren om te verven. In de beschrijving stond hoe je er keukenpapier onder moest leggen om de overtollige verf op te nemen. Dacht het niet!!
Nu heb ik dus heel veel handgeverfd borduurgaren en een stel mooie zelfgeverfde lapjes. Ik ben er al iets leuks mee aan het maken maar dat laat ik nog even niet zien.
De poppetjes heb ik in het vliegtuig getekend en hier verder bewerkt.
Het weer is ongelooflijk ! Eerst 10 dagen prachtig warm en zonnig en nu al 36 uur onafgebroken regen. Het zwembad loopt bijna over!. We hopen dat het de laatste paar dagen weer wat zonniger wordt!
On my vacation I always want to do something. I bought a box with 36 white strands of embroidey yarn and 3 spray bottles containing dye powder in red, yellow and blue. The advice was to put kitchen towel underneath the strands to pick up the wasted dye. I didn't think so! I put peaces of white muslin underneath and have now not only wonderful embroidery floss but great hand dyed fabric too. I'm making something nice with that but don't want to show it 'till its finished.
The little amulet puppets I drew in the plane and finished of here.I go on with my work since the rainfall here enforces us to stay inside. It has been raining here 36 hours non stop! We hope our last vacation days will be a bit sunnier so we can hit the beach!
